Ezhuthachan College of Pharmaceutical Sciences is one of the pioneering Institutions in Pharmaceutical education established under the aegis of Ezhuthachan National Academy. The faculty of the College comprises a distinguished team of scholars with commendable achievements as teachers, trainers, professionals and researchers. All faculty members hold postgraduate qualifications in Pharmaceutical Sciences and possess extensive experience in teaching, research and industry. Many have published research papers in reputed national and international journals and have presented their scholarly work at various seminars, conferences and scientific forums.
The institution has a strong research-oriented faculty profile, with 10 faculty members holding Ph.D. degrees and 10 faculty members currently pursuing doctoral research at reputed institutions, including Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Annamalai University, Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth, B.S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology and Vels Institute of Science, Technology & Advanced Studies (VISTAS). This reflects the Institution's commitment to promoting academic excellence, research, innovation and continuous professional development among its faculty members.
The College regularly organizes seminars, symposia, workshops and faculty development programmes to update the knowledge and skills of teachers, researchers and students. These programmes focus on emerging trends in Pharmaceutical Research, Pharmaceutical Technology, Research and Development, Formulation Development and Innovative teaching-learning methodologies.
The Training and Placement Cell actively organizes industrial training programmes, industrial visits and guest lectures by industry experts to equip students with contemporary knowledge and practical skills in Pharmaceutical manufacturing and healthcare practices. Industrial training is provided through reputed US FDA-approved cGMP Pharmaceutical manufacturing units such as Sai Mirra Innopharm Pvt. Ltd., Chennai; Hibrow Healthcare Pvt. Ltd., Kancheepuram; Bafna Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Chennai and Tanmed Pharma India Pvt. Ltd., Chennai.
In addition, students receive practical exposure through training opportunities at Kerala State Drugs and Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (KSDP), HLL Lifecare Ltd and the Kerala State Drug Testing Laboratory, Thiruvananthapuram. The College facilitates industrial and hospital training during the third and final years of the programme, enabling students to gain valuable hands-on experience in professional healthcare and Pharmaceutical environments.
